There is no charge for this event, however donations are welcome.

Please join us for a Community Conversation, where we have circles for the discussion of ideas and dreams. Our goal is to lead to further effective actions for promoting peace in our own daily lives, our community and our world.

We look forward to seeing you and any friends you wish to bring. Please take the time to let us know if you will attend.

Click here to RSVP or call 888-549-5922. This will allow us to plan properly for the right number of people. If you forget to reply, you are still welcome.

Surprised by our location? Please don’t be. The Santa Cruz Police Department is very unique, is warmly welcoming us and is looking forward to the peaceful energies we all will bring to their space. The Community Room is a perfect meeting room.

Our first public event, a Celebration for Peace on November 11, 2002, generated many requests to be part of our activities. Many of us have felt helpless to affect the painful situation in the world and we at WomenRise have discovered how powerful talking and meeting with like-hearted people can be. You are invited to join us in an opportunity to share our desires for a peaceful world through conversations with one another.

The members of WomenRise have all experienced tremendous benefits through our on-going conversation group and wish the same for you. We hope you can participate.

Programme of Events

Bring a piece of fabric approximately 20" x 4" so you can weave your dream
into the Weaving The Dream! structure.

If you have ever wondered what Republicans and Democrats, Muslims and Christians, Palestinians and Israelis, villagers and city slickers, "hawks" and "doves", elders and children, all women and all men have in common, it is this:

We were born of women and we ALL cherish a life of peace and community.

At a time when war, violence and fear are epidemic, it’s time for proactive prevention–the joy of living and knowing each other.

Bring your family, friends, and neighbors to celebrate and create more of the many ways of being the peace and joy we want in the world.

Join us in wearing PURPLE for PEACE
